We are please to announce that we have received our certification from the Maine Department of Environmental Protection  for being a Maine Green Environmental Leader.

      

We have been working for many years to protect our environment and conserve our resources in an attempt to help keep Maine beautiful for future generations to enjoy.  

The Village Cove Inn recognizes the importance of being environmentally aware and is working hard to:-

• Reduce overall waster by recycling all cans/bottles/plastic and paper

• Distribute recycling bins around the property for our guests and employees to use  

• Use recycled paper products wherever we can

• Use recycled plastic trash can liners wherever we can

• Use chemical free 'Green Seal' certified cleaning products

• Use biodegradable soaps, shampoos and hair conditioners, none of which use animal testing

• Save energy by using 'Energy Star' fluorescent lighting and timers.

• Disposal of all toxic wastes such as motor oil, frying oil, antifreeze and disposal of printer cartridges batteries etc in a safe and responsible manner.

• Conserve water

• Support and buy locally products whenever we can.
